Speaking of thumbs, because of this wonderful place, I now possess a fake thumb. Inside of a giant cardboard box, I dug through hundreds of thumbs. Finally, I found my match. My very own round, hollowed-out, plastic cylinder that looks like a cocktail weenie with fingernail. Just like my actual thumb.

At all times, my fake thumb is in my bag. I spend my days looking for people to perform my tricks. If I’m lucky, I find someone who’s willing to suffer through it. They know as much as I do, that I’m not really making things disappear in my hand. But hopefully, they can’t explain it.

It’s magic!

But just like magnets, helicopters, and fake thumbs, things that once seemed magical become either science or dumb tricks—once they’re explained. By that logic, every wonderfully unexplainable thing is magic. Things like life, consciousness, and the unlimited nature of gender identity. You and I. We are magic! I intend to spread more of my magical nature throughout the world. One fake thumb at a time. I hope you will too.
